Highline Drive Improvements Project
Weekly update for: August 13-26, 2017
The Contractor is constructing intersection improvements on Simon Street and the approach to Safeway. The Contractor continues to install sewer, water and stormwater utilities at various locations along Highline Drive.
Expect delays throughout the weeks of August 13th through August 26th due to temporary detours.
Road work is ahead of schedule between Grant Road and 1st St SE. It is anticipated this section of road will be back open to traffic by August 18th. Traffic south of 1st T SE will continue to be detoured to Rock Island Road.
Highline Drive Improvement Project
July 16th-July 29, 2017
The contractor continues to install sewer, water and stormwater utilities at various locations along Highline Drive.
Expect delays throughout the weeks of July 16th-29th due to temporary detours.
Crews will continue to work on Highline Drive between 1st St SE and Simon Street. A second crew will start work on the new roundabout at Simon St SE beginning the week of July 24th.
Traffic will be detoured to Rock Island Road. This detour will remain in place until crews finish completing the intersection improvements at Simon St and other road re-surfacing work between Grant Road and 1st St Se. Local access and delivery trucks will be accommodated within the work zone (if no other access is available)

THROUGH JULY 15, 2017
The Contractor is currently installing sewer and stormwater utilities at various locations along Highline Drive. Expect delays throughout the weeks of July 2nd-July 15th due to temporary detours.
Crews will mainly be working near the intersection of 3rd St SE the week of July 5th-July 7th. Some work may be done during the night to minimize traffic disruptions. Crews will be working their way north toward 2nd St SE the week of July 10th-14th.

WEEKLY UPDATE FOR :JUNE 18TH-JULY 1, 2017
The Contractor is currently preparing for utility work beginning June 26th. Crews are out potholing (confirming existing utility locations and depths) this week.
Sewer work near Pace Drive will start the week of June 26th and continue through June 30th. Crews may also start stormwater work near 3rd St SE toward the end of the week.
Expect minor delays throughout the week of June 19th through June 23rd for potholing and other preparation work.
Expect delays at the intersection of Pace Dr. the week of June 26th through June 30th. A temporary detour will be in place between Simon St SE and 2nd St SE. Local access will be maintained on 1st St SE and Pace Dr.
